Guidelines for preparation of Abstracts

Abstracts should be typed in 12pt. Arial font written in 250 words or less and structured into
a) Title in capital letters
b) Authors with presenting author underlined
c) Affiliations of all authors
d) Body of the abstract –divided into the following sub headings

  • Background
  • Methods
  • Results
  • Conclusions

After review of the abstracts, the presenting authors will be notified whether their contribution has been accepted for oral or poster presentation.

A few travel fellowships are available for young researchers/trainees to attend the meeting. Those eligible to apply are research fellows (project fellows, JRF, SRF, PDF), residents and fellows in ophthalmology and optometry. Applications may be sent on plain paper along with the complete biodata and a copy of the abstract to the address for communication. The application should be forwarded and recommended by the concerned guide/supervisor. The recipients of the travel grant will be reimbursed their travel expenses up to a maximum of Rs.2500/- during the meeting.
